Words with apostrophes can't be added to dictionary Options

I have an issue with a site that has words with apostrophes in them, for example "O'Connors" ...which are being flagged as spelling errors.

Ideally I'd like to add these words to the dictionary or ignore them; but whenI right-click these words SortSite doesn't give me the option - it jumps to the top of the page instead.

I'm assuming this is a bug, it looks like the apostrophe in the word is getting mixed into SortSite's code.

Is there a way of manually editing the custom dictionary to get around this?

Hello

For reports displayed inside SortSite you should get a popup menu appearing when you left or right click on the red underlined mis-spellings.

Does the Rule Options menu to the right of mis-spellings work? (should also display a popup menu)

You can manually edit the custom dictionary - it's a plain text file:

Win 7 + Vista: C:\Users\YourUserName\AppData\Local\PowerMapper Software\SortSite\custom.dict

XP: C:\Documents and Settings\YourUserName\Local Settings\Application Data\Electrum\SortSite\custom.dict

Don't make changes to it when SortSite is running because it gets over-written when the app is closed down.

Pam

Thanks for the fast response Pam :)

The right-click on the Options link works, allowing me to ignore the whole Spelling rule; only the red-underlined words with apostrophes in them are causing a problem (other words work fine).

I've found and edited my custom.dict, and that got around the problem, thanks!

The underlying issue is now fixed, so words with apostrophes can be added to the dictionary. The fix will appear in the next maintenance release.
